Irma Marks

Irma, also known as Mim, has lived in Somerset for many years but comes originally from Colombia South America. Her cultural roots embrace the music, landscape and people of the tropics. These in turn have formed memories and dreams that translate into explosions of colour, often reaching abstract expressions. The paintings capture feelings awakened by the rich flora of her country, some mysteriously dark, others, loud and extrovert.
